Online registration will be held through Friday, Sept. 10, for the 25th annual Great Lake Allatoona Cleanup.

Thousands of volunteers will cover hundreds of miles of Lake Allatoona and Lake Acworth shoreline on Saturday, Sept. 18, in recognition of National Public Lands Day.

Last year, more than 4,200 volunteers collected more than 42 tons of trash, debris and tires from more than 250 miles of shore.

After the cleanup, a picnic at Riverside Park will provide food, games, music and prizes.
